YOUR EYES (c) 1982 Monica E. Gómez, ASCAP

Verse 1:  Your eyes are bright when you look at me.
That’s the look I need to see:
No fear, just delight. Oh, your gaze is a sight
to behold and be held by your eyes.

Verse 2:  One glance is all that I need to know
When someone’s eyes will never show
pure joy or desire of a heart filled with fire,
like the look that I see in your eyes.

Refrain:  Look at me. I confess.
I long to feel the lucid green caress
of your eyes.

Verse 3:  Your touch is not meant for me, I know.
But, please, just once before we go,
Let us exchange lies, and later heave sighs,
just remembering the look in those eyes.
Refrain
